For the 2009–2010 admissions year, the Department of Architecture will not be requiring undergraduate architecture applicants to have a personal interview. Instead, we are requiring that all applicants write a special interview essay using the questions in the PDF below as a guide. You can either email your responses to aap_admissions@cornell.edu, or mail your answers along with your portfolio by the appropriate interview/portfolio deadline listed at the bottom of this page.IMPORTANT: Interview essays and portfolios should be mailed directly to:

A portfolio interview is strongly recommended but not required for freshman and transfer applicants to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program. Interviews are offered only on-campus on selected Mondays and Fridays beginning in mid-September.
Fine arts interviews must be arranged through the Architecture, Art, and Planning Admissions Office. To schedule a portfolio interview with a professor in the Department of Art, please either e-mail the admissions office at aap_admissions@cornell.edu or call us at (607) 255-4376.
Interview Deadlines: Interviews must be completed/submitted by the following dates:
November 10, 2009 for Early Decision freshman and spring transfer applicants
