Student Achievement
Student achievement and metrics are measured through our coursework, which assesses students on their capacity to master qualitative and quantitative methodologies (from mapping and urban data analytics to mixed method surveying and interviewing), analysis and writing of professional reports, rigorous evidence-based analysis, and conceptual analysis central to planning, as well as skills in working and communicating across professional disciplines and modes of work. The department's mission stands at the intersection of public policy, geospatial modeling, and evidence-based social science.
