A Work in Progress

A Work in Progress is a student-driven, electronic journal (available online) that began in spring 2008 as a forum for communicating about social-justice programs and experience. The creators of  A Work In Progress observe a divide between what is happening at Cornell and in the world around contemporary social issues, and their mission is to bridge that gap.

For students who are already informed of social issues, the journal will provide a centralized source of information regarding where and how to get involved in working towards solutions. Global, national, and local issues, as well as personal accounts of social-justice-oriented experiences, are included in the journal. Articles are a mix of research, analysis, opinion, critical reflection, art, photography, and more. Submitted work is organized into three "tiers" or categories: tier one being longer/more formal thesis and policy writing, tier two being articles and "op-ed" style pieces, and tier three being creative content.
