For the mentorship initiative to have a lasting impact on the lives of those students in the University Assembly School for the Urban Environment, this research proposal suggests implementing a bookshelf to house academic materials that expose Bed-Stuy students to higher education and college-application procedures -- in order to foster the connection between the two.
