Financial Aid
The Graduate School awards fellowships and scholarships to both entering and continuing students primarily on the basis of scholastic ability and promise of achievement. Research assistantships may be available to advanced graduate students, and teaching assistantships may sometimes be available from academic departments.
External fellowships are offered by many international agencies, such as the Organization of American States, the United Nations, the U.S. Fulbright Commission, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Foreign students in particular should consider applying for these fellowships as well as fellowships granted by agencies in their own countries.
Guaranteed Student Loans are available for U.S. citizens through their local banks. Foreign applicants must arrange their own financial support.
