Carmen Andriani, Architect, Professor in Architectural and Urban Design at the University of Pescara, deals with architectural and urban design with particular reference to issues of infrastructure, territory, urban landscape.
Andriani has been a guest critic at several Canadian and U.S. universities, in 2005 at the Tongji University in Shanghai, (SHANGHAI EXPO 2010 - LANDSCAPE RENEWAL) and in 2007 under the XII International Design Seminar in Al Ain (UAE). In 2006 Ms. Andriani coordinated the design team of the Faculty of Architecture in Pescara at the Biennale di Venezia (International Laboratory Learning from the city).
She has also participated in many conferences around Italy and abroad focused on her work as designer.  She has also been invited to numerous exhibitions of architecture (1995 Milan Triennale, Biennale Venezia 1996 and 2002, Montevideo 2000, Toronto 2000, Graz 2001, Japan 2002, Istanbul 2005, Shanghai in 2005, Al Ain, UAE 2007).  Andriani has written and published on numerous projects, catalogs and architectural magazines including: Casabella, Domus, Topos european landscape, Parameter, Refer-Paisatges Remaking Landscapes,, 1 to 6 European and Negotiated Projects.

Arch. Andriani’s accomplishments in the way of projects are numerous and made up both of international competitions and invitations for projects: implementation in Rome of the monumental-historical path of Trevi-Pantheon. In 2000 she won first prize in the international competition to redesign the banks of Trieste (Piazza Venezia).  In 2005 she won ex aequo the first phase of the international calls for the proposed new metropolitan center, Romanina.
In 2006 she won the International Consultation to calls for the requalifying of the former Metalplex area in Benevento.  She is currently in the design stage of an auditorium in Chieti, (Mediterranean Games 2008 Pescara).

Manages. on behalf dell'AITEC, the editorial series'  Le  forme del cemento '(Gangemi ed.) Invited to WS09 edition of the International Workshop in Venice, and is now the new Director of the Department of Architecture, IDEA, at the University of Pescara.
