David Mah is a registered architect in the United Kingdom. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honors) and two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees (architectural science and interior architecture) from Curtin University of Technology in Australia. In 2000, Mah graduated from the Architectural Association School of Archtecture (AA) with a qualification in landscape urbanism. As an academic, Mah was a design studio instructor in AA’s landscape urbanism program from 2004 to 2007. He directed design workshops at the Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2007; the diploma school at AA; and the Peking University Graduate School of Landscape Architecture in 2005. He has been teaching architectural design studio and theory at Cornell since Fall 2007. Professionally, Mah has over 10 years of professional experience and has worked at a number of architectural practices in the United Kingdom and Australia including Foreign Office Architects, Zaha Hadid Architects, and Adjaye Associates. He has been engaged in a number of international projects including the 2012 Olympics and Legacy Masterplans in London; the one-noth masterplan, Singapore[AG8]; and Plaze de Miguel Hernandez, Spain. In 2002, Mah, together with Leyre Asensio Villoria, founded asensio_mah architects. Asensio_mah have exhibited and lectured internationally and are currently completing a number of projects in Europe. Casa Q, a new build residential commision will be completed in December 2008. The project integrates digital fabrication techniques with traditional construction practices as well as landscape engineering and design. Curriculum Vitae (.pdf)
