Luana Perilli was born in 1981 and has lived and worked in Rome most of her life.  Her work as an artisits is based on research about language and narrative structures through media such as video, animation, sculpture, installation and site-specific projects.

Perilli’s work has recently been shown in the group exhibition: 15° Quadriennale d’arte di Roma (Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, Italy); video as video rewind to form (Swimming Pool Project Space, Chicago IL);  Signale-Ostrale (Ostrale, Dresden, Germany); Nomad space-wandering gallery (Karlin studios, Prague, Czech Republic); Studiovisit-a review on works by Italian artists (91mq, Berlin, Germany); Tattile Duttile, (V.M.21 artecontemporanea, Rome, Italy);  Written City-scrivere la città (site specific, Frascati, Italy); Micropaesaggi/Microlandshaften Austrian institute (Rome, Italy); Multiprises (Citè Internationale des Arts, Paris, France). Solo exhibitions include: Why?, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere _The Gallery Apart, Roma (curated by Cecilia Casorati); Video Project Room#4 Rialtosantambrogio, Roma (curated by Tiziana di Caro); Pay Attention (follow the instruction) Studio Lipoli&Lopez, Roma(curated by Carlotta Sylos Calò) ; Y.I.A. Young International Artists, Rialtosantambrogio, Roma. Her works have been shown also in art-fairs such as International Art Affairs in Washington D.C. and Artò at The Gallery Apart in Rome where she was awarded the Music Box Prize for best Italian artist under 35.
Perilli has also been awarded grants and residency programs in Paris at the Citè internationale des arts from Incontri Internazionali D’Arte  foundation, New York, and at artOMI from Dena foundation for Contamporary Art .
Luana Perilli is also a co-founder of 26cc, a non-profit space for contemporary art in Rome.
