Visiting Lecturer Nathan Townes-Anderson (M.F.A. ’09), art, will be guest blogging for popular contemporary art documentary Art:21 through October 23. He’s writing on the intersections of art, music, and celebrity in the culture of the 1960s and today.

According to Art:21, the blog is a platform for profiling the current activities of the artists featured in the Art in the Twenty-First Century television series, indexing current contemporary art programs and events worldwide, highlighting Art21’s myriad activities across the U.S. and around the world, offering viewers opportunities to engage in salient debates about particular issues relevant to contemporary art, and developing a larger online community interested in related issues, artists, and ideas. The site receives an average of 25,000 hits each month and is regularly listed among the top 10 contemporary art blogs.

Art:21 invites artists, curators, critics, writers, educators, art bloggers, and others to contribute to the guest blog on a bi-weekly basis.
