Khaleel Atiyyeh

B.S. Urban and Regional Studies 2010

Through the Cornell in Washington Program I spent a semester in Washington, DC, where I interned for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration as a policy analyst. My research focused on using public works as a means economic development to help our economy recover from the current recession. Throughout this experience, I have learned a great deal about urban planning, economic development, and social justice. With one more year of college left, I am excited for the opportunity to fully employ the skills that I have been able to acquire from my time as a student in the URS program.
