Carolina Ciampaglia studied languages and English literature in Rome. From 1983 to 1985, she lived in the United States and Germany, where she worked as a translator and began to teach Italian language to foreigners. In 1985, she became co-owner and co-director of Italiaidea, where she has taught individual and group courses, and where she is currently Administrative Director and responsible for public relations. Since 1988, she has supervised and taught Italian language classes for Cornell in Rome, where she currently teaches a course on Italian cinema.
