Humanities
Do the Humanities Have to be Useful?
AAP dean Mohsen Mostafavi, the Arthur L. and Isabel B. Wiesenberger Professor in Architecture, served as one of three editors of the text Do the Humanities Have to be Useful?, published by Cornell University Press. The pocket-sized tome emerged from a series of roundtable discussions held on campus and includes essays by eighteen Cornell professors and two students considering the relationship of the humanities to the public sphere and seeking ways in which the humanities could engage with audiences outside of the academy.
