Vanessa Roveto

Vanessa Roveto is the author of the poetry books bodys (University of Iowa Press, 2016) and a women (Iowa, 2020). Her third book of poetry, Mulholland Dive, is forthcoming from Clash Books (2025). Her first novella, The Valley (a void), was published in 2023 with SPBH Editions and Image Text Ithaca Press. She holds an M.F.A. in Film/Video from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.F.A. in poetry from the University of Iowa, Iowa Writers' Workshop. Roveto has been a Visiting Professor of Poetry at the Iowa Writers' Workshop and has received a MacDowell Fellowship.
