I am interested in the formal implications of passive systems for environmental control, as well as the potential of hybridized active/passive strategies. I view the challenge of moving toward a more sustainable means of design as one which emerging architects must engage, and am interested in the technical, aesthetic and ethical threads of this discussion.

In addition to teaching lectures and a case study seminar, I will be advising the 2007 Solar Decathlon team.
